“Transform the Way You Lounge”

Introducing the Solstice Transformer Lounger from Harris FloteBote

FORT WAYNE, Ind., Nov. 19, 2010 – Engineers are smart, but Harris FloteBote has discovered that consumers just may be smarter. The Indiana-based pontoon company convened “Voice of the Customer” sessions around the country recently that led directly to the creation of Harris FloteBote’s new Solstice model, which features thoughtful seating arrangements including the new, exclusive Transformer Loungers.

The brand new Solstice model is up for all-day adventures, with an extended rear deck for easy water access, a unique fence design and brilliant graphics package, and a wide-range of outboards to power every kind of water sports action. Its unique aft layout takes fun to the next level with a center gate allowing easy-access to the water and an optional entertainment galley featuring plenty of storage, countertop space and additional cup holders.  And when you are ready to simply sit back and relax, the ingenious Transformer Loungers adjust as no loungers have before to customize your comfort.

In Harris FloteBote’s “Voice of the Customer” sessions, consumers agreed that pontoon loungers were getting out of control. They were too big, too inflexible and took up too much space without accommodating boaters’ varied needs. The patent-pending Transformer Lounger - available only on the Harris FloteBote Solstice—adjusts to let you relax however you’d like. Traditional bench seating offers excellent back support and comfortably seats two adults, or you can put it in personal chaise lounge mode by lowering the main back and side and enjoy convenient armrests and a contoured backrest. Simply elevate the knee support and recline to make the perfect fit. However you configure the Transformer Lounger, extra-plush Torino vinyl adds comfort, while convenient under-seat storage drawers pull out so you don’t have to get up to get your items out. And, an optional pop-up speaker rotates 360 degrees for your listening pleasure.

In addition to consumer input, the new Solstice benefited from the expertise of designers at Sea Ray and Boston Whaler, two of Harris FloteBote’s sister companies in the Brunswick Boat Group.  The teams collaborated to design the Solstice’s stylish fiberglass helm stand, which features toggle switches and a tilt steering wheel. The space-saving design incorporates six cup holders, a full instrument panel, lockable glove box and a Sony Gold stereo delivering crisp, clear sound while riding the waves. Plus, a handy pocket securely holds an MP3 player or cell phone. The available helm extended storage unit, located conveniently behind the captain’s chair, lets you keep more onboard without taking away space.

Available in three models—230, 250 and 270—the Solstice offers five seating arrangements to suit your personal boating style. Choose from standard quad chaise lounges, two bow Lux seats, Transformer Loungers in the front or in the rear, and optional two-piece bow port side group layout. And don’t forget to choose the shade that matches your on-water lifestyle from five fabulous options: Black Sapphire, Blue Opal, Midnight Blue, Royal Garnet and Sandy Pearl.
