Safety

• All Harris FloteBotes are NMMA (National Marine Manufacturers' Association) certified to ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) safety standards.
• Harris FloteBote offers a patented full length extruded aluminum gate stop. The only Coast Guard approved pontoon gate in the industry. Also minimizes gate rattle.

Pontoon Tubes and Fence

• Harris' innovative dolphin-nosed tubes with integrated splashguards are designed to glide through the water effortlessly and are less susceptible to damage than other brands with welded on spray fins.
• Patented full length “M” brackets for mounting of the structural cross members minimize torque on the pontoon framework.
• The tubes are chambered with sealed bulkheads to prevent flooding of an entire tube if damaged.
• The keel is made of a full length extrusion with 3/8” wear bar for added strength when beaching your pontoon.
• Fencing and gates are welded on three sides, then anodized to military specifications after the weld.
• Harris FloteBotes are saltwater-ready to resist corrosion. Aluminum sheet is H5052 Marine Grade to withstand saltwater conditions.

Furniture, Hardware, And Electrical

• Seat bases serve as storage compartments and are vented to facilitate drainage and avoid mildew. Most models utilize double-wall rotocast or fiberglass construction for added strength and reliability.
• Many models offer a custom off-set rod hinge mechanism for added strength and reliability.
• All fasteners, staples, and latches are stainless steel and won't corrode in saltwater environments, which helps reduce maintenance and maintain beauty.
• Wiring is run terminal-to-terminal without splicing utilizing weather-guard electrical connectors. Weatherguard® waterproof electrical terminals/connectors are safer and more reliable than industry-standard electrical butt connections.
• Steering and shift-control cables are upgraded and far more reliable than industry-standard cables and make steering and shifting much smoother.
• The helm stands are 100% fiberglass.

Deck Construction

• High-impact capless deck corners, utilizing Harris FloteBote’s patented rub rail system, eliminate the possibility of breakage.
• ¾” 7-ply marine grade tongue and groove plywood with 3-tiered moisture prevention is used for Harris FloteBote’s flooring.
• Tier One = Butyl tape is applied on aluminum cross members with deck seams.
• Tier Two = Tongue and groove marine grade plywood is used in lieu of standard decking.
• Tier Three = Siliflex sealant is applied to the top of the deck seam.
• Tek Screws are utilized to fasten the deck to the aluminum cross members. Tek screws not only provide the highest strength for fastening the deck to the structural cross members; Tek screws form a water tight bond to the aluminum cross members when the heat caused by the friction of installing them bonds the metal of the screw with the metal of the cross member.
